Exploring Popular Campus Spots

Many people think campus life is just school and the dorms; however, this is not the case. While it is common for many colleges to have spots for students to do homework and play games, it is especially true for 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ. Though 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ may not be a large campus, there are many well-known and some not-so-well-known hangout spots. Let’s explore the campus and discover some spots you may be missing.

Many people will immediately think of dorm life when they think of spots to go hang out. It’s natural to think of dorm life first, but if you venture beyond your room, you’ll find even more great places to connect and relax. Some of the most popular spots would be the Library, the BSM, Pete’s Place, and the second floor of Gates Hall. These are all staple locations that many of the veteran students know and love. But why would you want to visit any of these given locations?

The Library is an obvious choice. This building is one of the crown jewels of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ. It is one of the tallest buildings in Plainview and home to many rooms to study in. There are lots of quiet rooms for you and your friends to do homework. This is also where students go for tutoring and research.

The BSM is where most of the spiritual activities take place. Bible studies and FCA meet here and offer lots of relief from the stresses of day-to-day life. Another way students like to relieve stress is at the Laney. If you are more competitive, then this is the location for you. This building is a large workout facility. If you love working out or playing games like ping pong or playing pool, then you will love blowing off steam at this location.

However, maybe the library is too quiet, and the Laney is too loud. There are options for people who want a calm but still active environment. Pete’s Place is one of the most popular locations to visit because it has its very own restaurant. Many students get Pete’s points with their meal plans and use them there to get great food. Popular menu items in Pete's include the burgers and the chicken quesadillas. The best part about this location is the new furniture. The entirety of Pete’s Place is newly renovated with modern and comfortable furniture for a more welcoming experience for all students. The second floor of Gates Hall has also recently redecorate and updated their hang out spot. It is a great location to wait for your next class or to get homework done right when you get out of class. Since it is so close to all the classrooms it is a great location to pass the time by between your classes.

As finals week approaches, consider exploring one of these amazing campus locations to help you study, relax, or spend some quality time with friends, classmates, and teammates before summer break beings.
