Summer Productivity
Now that summer is in full force for everyone, many of you may be wondering what to do over the break. While it’s nice to relax after a hard year of studying and getting to know a new crowd, it’s also important to stay active. Here are a few suggestions for how to make the most of your summer.
Summer Job
One great way to spend your summer is by getting a summer job. This is always a smart idea because you can save the money you earn and use it throughout the semester on books, late-night hangouts, and coffee to help get you through.
Staying Active
Another great activity to do over the summer is to stay in shape. Many 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ students are athletes and need to maintain their fitness for their sport. If you’re an athlete, keep training over the summer—coaches will expect you to come back ready for next season.
Reading for Fun
If you’re a reader, it may have felt draining to read so many books during the school year. However, don’t let that discourage you from reading over the summer. There’s something refreshing about reading a book you picked out just for fun. There are no deadlines or stress—just the freedom to enjoy it at your own pace.
Reconnect with Family
While staying active and productive is important, don’t forget to spend time with friends and family. It’s easy to lose touch during the busy school year, but summer break offers time to go on vacation, grab dinner together, or simply catch up with loved ones.
Plan Ahead
For all the planners out there—don’t forget to prepare for next semester. Class registration ends during the summer, so be sure to sign up for your classes and build your schedule. Going into the fall with a clear idea of your routine is a great way to start the year strong.
No matter how you choose to spend your summer, be sure to stay productive and enjoy the time off from schoolwork. Whatever you do, make this summer count—relax, recharge, and stay ready for what’s ahead.
