2025 WRITER'S SYMPOSIUM - We congratulate our 2025 Research Champion, Fade!

The School of Humanities & Leadership (formerly the School of Languages & Literature) hosted its annual Writer’s Symposium as part of Academic Excellence Week! Students shared original poetry, fiction, and literary analysis.
Carlos Belmares presented his short story “La vista del abuelo,”
Gwen Phillips read her poem “Lovers Lane,”
and Trinity Davis shared her analysis essay “Social Class and the Victorian Hierarchy: Jane Eyre in Correlation to the Ingram Family.”
Guest readers included dual credit student Xander Alaniz, and master’s student Maddie Casanova.
Congratulations to Fade Ogunbade, named Research Champion for her outstanding analysis essay “Guided by Dreams: The Power of the Subconscious Mind in Jane Eyre!”
