51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ reduces block tuition, expanding access to excellence

PLAINVIEW — 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University announces an unparalleled 9.5 percent reduction in its undergraduate block tuition rate beginning with the Fall 2026 term, making one of higher education’s best values even better.

The university’s 12–18 credit hour block is priced at $9,975 per semester for full-time students on the Plainview campus. The change reflects 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s continued commitment to providing a high-quality Christian education that remains affordable and accessible.

“This is unprecedented, and it’s an investment in students,” said Dr. Donna Hedgepath, president of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University. “We listened carefully to families and students who asked us to make college more affordable. We know the value of a college degree, so we are finding new ways to help more students experience it. Same excellence—smarter price.”

51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ is also reducing graduate tuition on the Plainview campus by more than 35 percent, aligning those costs more closely with online graduate tuition rates and further extending the university’s efforts to make advanced education more attainable.

The tuition reductions come after an institution-wide tuition freeze that was implemented last year across all campuses, including WBUonline. Together, these actions demonstrate the university’s long-term strategy to help students pursue their academic and spiritual goals without sacrificing quality or value.

Dr. Daniel Brown, vice president of enrollment management, said the changes further strengthen 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s position as a leader in accessible Christian higher education. “51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s block tuition plan has always been one of the best academic values,” he said. “Our best deal is even better. Your favorite school is now easier to afford.”

Tuition for all other programs, locations and WBUonline will remain unchanged, continuing the tuition freeze that began last year.

51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University continues to emphasize its mission of combining academic excellence with a faith-centered community. The new tuition rates underscore that commitment by expanding access and opportunity for current and future Pioneers.
