Giving to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ
Contributions that make a difference.
Your generous contribution makes a difference - in the life of this University and in the lives of thousands of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ students. Please consider giving to one of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ's many needs.
Giving Opportunities
A new strategic plan launched in July means new initiatives are underway at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ that depend on your support. Campus buildings are in need of expansion and renovation. Programs across our campuses are being refreshed or revamped to be relevant in today's workforce. It's an exciting time to invest in students at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ.
We recently completed a successful Thrive Campaign, raising $19.5 million and making some technology upgrades and campus improvements; adding valuable scholarship endowments; enhancing our service to First Generation and minority students as well as veterans; and adding relevant academic programs and certificate programs. We are grateful to all who had a hand in making that success possible.
Until our new campaign is launched officially, the following projects are always a great place to direct your gifts and make an immediate impact on students:
- Student Bible Project - Your donation can help place a new, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ-branded Bible in the hands of each new student across our campuses every year. Each Bible is $19.50, and you can send a specific message to be included in the student's Bible.
- Core Mission Fund - This undesignated fund helps 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ meet the greatest needs on campus, which can vary from scholarships and technology upgrades to minor campus improvements and other special projects. These are highly appreciated gifts because they allow the greatest flexibility.
- Scholarships - You can support a variety of already endowed scholarship funds across our campuses, some of which are specific to an academic school or major. When giving, specify which school you wish to support, or you may call our office for suggestions to grow a current scholarship fund. You may also want to consider beginning an endowed scholarship of your own to leave a legacy, and our office is happy to help you explore those options. You may also give to general scholarships, which will benefit students in need without specific parameters.
- Athletics Support - You may choose to support any of our intercollegiate athletic programs (see our for a full list of options) or general athletics needs as well. Many of our Plainview campus students are student-athletes, and these gifts can help their programs stay competitive while they work toward degrees.
- President's Project Fund - Donations to this fund allow our president, Dr. Donna Hedgepath, and her cabinet to use money at their discretion to meet strategic needs across our campuses.
How to Give
There are different ways of giving to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ. Gifts made by cash, check, or credit card are simple and convenient. Gifts of securities or property enable you to give to the university and earn a charitable tax deduction in the process. If your goal is to balance charitable giving with your retirement needs or as part of an estate plan, consider making a planned gift.
