PLAINVIEW — The 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ Baptist University system expects overall increased enrollment for the Fall 2025 term, fueled by growth in the Ben and Bertha Mieth School of Nursing, international student programs, and dual credit courses.

Enrollment across the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ system is up overall, with standout increases at the Mieth School of Nursing in San Antonio, which saw a 17 percent increase, and the university’s Phoenix location, which also enjoyed double-digit growth. Dual credit courses offered to high school students have more than doubled, growing by more than 120 percent. In addition to another strong undergraduate class at the Plainview campus, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s international student program, which caters to graduate students in the San Antonio area, has also more than doubled since this time last year.

“These numbers show the continued impact 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ is making in communities near and far,” said Dr. Donna Hedgepath, president. “Whether through preparing the next generation of nurses, offering new opportunities in Arizona, or helping high school students get a head start, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ continues to fulfill its mission of providing excellent, Christ-centered higher education. 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ is strong and growing.”

Dr. Daniel Brown, vice president of enrollment management, noted that growth across the system reflects both innovation and collaboration. “We are seeing the results of strong partnerships with high schools, healthcare providers, and community leaders,” he said. “Students recognize the value of a 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ education, and we are committed to meeting them where they are.”

The university’s external campuses continue to play an essential role in 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ’s growth. “Our system is thriving because 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓƵ has always been willing to adapt and serve,” said Dr. David Bishop, vice president of external campuses. “The momentum we are experiencing at our campuses points to a bright future.”
