Salazar recognized by Society of Certified Public Accountants

PLAINVIEW — 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓÆµ Baptist University student Joslyn Salazar of Lubbock was recently recognized as a recipient of a $4,000 scholarship from the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), South Plains Chapter.

Salazar, an accounting major, was honored during the chapter’s Sept. 16 meeting held at the Texas Tech University McKenzie Merket Alumni Center in Lubbock. Scholarship recipients from area universities were also recognized at the luncheon.

Also attending the event was Dr. Jason Geesey, dean of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓÆµ’s School of Business. He noted the TXCPA scholarship program is highly competitive and said Salazar’s recognition reflects both her dedication and the strength of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÊÓÆµ’s accounting program.
